The Board of Directors of Continental
Awards and Trophies, Inc. announced today that Derrick
Calcote has been named president, effective immediately.
In a planned transition, Derrick, who also serves
as COO of the company, replaces John Calcote in this
position. John Calcote will continue to serve as
CEO and board chairman.
John Calcote states, “We are all excited about this. While he is
experienced in the industry, Derrick also will bring a fresh perspective
as we move forward.”
Derrick adds, “This new position is both a great honor and a great
responsibility. It is going to be an exciting year. In 2008 we are focusing
on value added programs and promotions to generate excitement while making
our customers more profitable. The opportunity to win a new Jaguar automobile
in the “Win a Jag from the CAT” sweepstakes is resonating with
many. Also in a time where transportation costs are at all time highs,
our industry leading free freight program has the potential to save the
awards professional hundreds if not thousands of dollars.”

of component parts for the awards industry. Continental operates from seven
centrally located facilities, offering one and two day service to most

Ed Hunt, national sales manager for Continental Trophies was sworn
in as President for the Awards and Recognition Associatio for
2007.

Continental Trophies proudly recognizes Cliff Smith, Wayne McKnight,
and Joe McLaughlin for being nominated for "Salesman of the Year" at
the Las Vegas ARA Show.
